The team at Creativity are excited for the release of a film we fully financed and post-produced: McQueen!
The film celebrates the rags-to-riches story of fashion icon Alexander McQueen, following his early life, career and his tragic death, and explores themes of mental illness, drug abuse, sexuality and gender. McQueen will be premiering in the UK on June 7th, and will hit cinema screens on June 8th.

Cannes 2018
From the 10th May – 14th May 2018, both Patrick Fischer and Richard Kondal will be attending the 71st Cannes Film Festival.
The prestigious film festival has remained faithful to its founding purpose: to draw attention to and raise the profile of films, with the aim of contributing towards the development of cinema, boosting the film industry worldwide and celebrating cinema at an international level.

Creativity Capital at Tribeca 2018.
Our Managing Director, Patrick Fischer, will be attending this years 17th annual Tribeca Film Festival in April.
Tribeca celebrates the vast talent and upcoming work within the industry, and this year we are immensely proud to announce that the upcoming biopic documentary MCQUEEN, which was fully financed by Creativity Capital, is being featured in the SPOTLIGHT DOCUMENTARY category.
Directed by Ian Bonhôte and written by Peter Ettedgui, the feature documentary offers viewers an intimate glance into the life of the late fashion designer Alexander McQueen narrated by his closest friends and family.

Creativity Capital attends International film Co-production Market – Strategic Partners
Creativity Capital was in Nova Scotia last weekend for Strategic Partners, one of the world’s foremost co-production markets that focuses on feature film, TV and digital fiction.
As part of the FIN: Atlantic International Film Festival, Managing Director Patrick Fischer was a panellist at the “Strategies for Future Focused, Globally Relevant Financing Plans” session.
Discussing the transformations on traditional financing and the best ways producers present their proposals to financiers, the international panellists contributed a fascinating viewpoint on landing that financial opportunity.

Creativity Capital fully finances Alexander McQueen Documentary
New York City-based film distribution company Bleecker Street has taken North American rights to Ian Bonhote’s biopic documentary about Alexander McQueen.
Fully financed by Creativity Capital, McQueen delves into the life of Lee Alexander McQueen, an award wining British fashion designer who took his own life in 2010 at just forty years old.
Creativity Capital’s David Gilbery and Patrick Fischer are serving as executive producers.

New website and Funding opportunities
We’re delighted to reveal two new funds are available for GAP and collateralised lending.
As well as secured loans to reduce UK tax credit or a pre-sale contract, our GAP lending fund gives an unsecured loan to a film set against its sales. This allows UK backers the capacity to reduce Producers lending cost on the investment.
Producers can access a range of finance at reduced rates saving them time and money, leaving them to focus on making great films.
Creativity Capital’s recent investment success includes BAFTA winner ‘Under The Shadow’, 2016 “Swallows & Amazons” and “The Recall” starring Wesley Snipes.

BAFTA Glory for Under the Shadow
Iranian Thriller Under the Shadow has scooped the Outstanding debut by a British writer, director or producer award at tonight’s BAFTAs.
The film portrays a mother and daughter who grapple with the terrors of the post-revolution, war-torn 1980s Tehran whilst a strange evil haunts their apartment.
Babak Anvari (writer/director), Emily Leo, Oliver Roskill and Lucan Toh (producers) picked up the award at the ceremony in the Royal Albert Hall.
Creativity Media and Creativity Capital provided picture and sound postproduction and financial backing.

BAFTA nominations for UNDER THE SHADOW
Iranian thriller UNDER THE SHADOW has been nominated for Outstanding British film and Outstanding Debut by a British writer, director or producer.
Up against a great line up of British contenders for these two awards, director Babak Anvari‘s acclaimed debut is one of our great success the team had the pleasure of providing full postproduction and finance support from Creativity Capital.
Hosted by Stephen Fry at the Royal Albert Hall, winners will be announced and broadcast on BBC One on 12th February 2017.
